Lunar-Wolf: SC-Commission-READ THE DESCRIPTION!!! by Foxy-Knight Lunar-Wolf: SC-Commission-READ THE DESCRIPTION!!! by Foxy-Knight
What can I say about this pice other than 'it's so BEAUTIFUL' while manly tears fall from my starry eyes. Yes I have been after something like this for a while: proper art of the legendary Lupos Vessel: Lunar Wolf. The ancient space ship owned by the Soul Connection protagonist Psychic and I have :iconhazelmutt: to thank for this. Seriously she has done a superb job!

So please comment and fav on the original right here --> .:Lunar Wolf Reference Sheet:. by Hazelmutt and only use this one for critiques. Also if you haven't watched :iconhazelmutt: yet then please do so, and check out her commission prices. Very fair for these kind of awesome results

Lunar Wolf, Psychic and Soul Connection belong to me :iconrouge-fox:
The art was done by :iconhazelmutt: so watch and commission her!

this is a very beautiful piece! I love the colors and the design is normal but really unique.

I like the damaged image of it on the top, but I only wish you had put a normal picture as well. like a before and after thing! I love the highlights on the damaged picture! The lighting on the windows is flawless. I also like the background. it reminds me of a city galaxy!

I really appreciate the effort you put into this picture, but you should've labeled the circle thing. I guessing its some kind of jet thing, like an engine. But really, i have no idea. I overall love this picture and think the highlights are amazing! you have an amazing sense of architecture. You should try making models!!! I do it, its really fun! If you do, post it so i can see!!! <3

There is a lot of nice detail in this one. I like the simplistic model on the lower half.

The description is pretty good, too. Short and well thought out. I am not sure about the name, though... But that might just be my taste xD

Black, light blue and pink work really well together with the metallic grey color. The design is quite marvelous and seems to be functional in a sci fi scenario.

The shading, background and lighting in the upper picture is very well done, but some of the damage seems too much. You should not overdo that.

All in all, a very nice work!

Keep it up!! :D

What a great piece! I really like the concept of the space ship! It's so clearly structured and at the same time very detailed! Form, colours and the over all impression really add up to a coherent image! Sometimes great designs tend to look unpractical, but on this one I have no doupt it would actually fly. ;) I also like the idea of the damage to the ship, that contrasts the rather cute design so well as it tells the story of past battles. SInce this is a concept sheet it's only natural the painting isn't overly polished, but that'a fine here and it doesn't hurt the viewer's understanding of the concept. Nice work Hazelmutt !

I am very glad you like Lunar Wolf, she is an old and universe weary vessel so yeah damage is to be expected.

If you are rescued by a knight in shining armour he's a crap knight, real tough knights have battle damage
Same principle for a tough ship

Hello there, I'm from ProjectComment

I have to say I like this ref. Overall it's a great job on a ref because it not only shows us the ship in different angles, but also labels what is what on the ship. You also give us a well done image (at least to me it looks like) of the ship in action, and that's what drew me to it initially when I first looked it up on the thumbnail. Unlike other ref sheets that I've seen before, your color is places in an area called color reference, which is great as most just have the colors placed unmarked as to what they are. You also go in depth defining the characteristics of the ship as well as the meaning of Psychoid. However, if I would suggest anything to the artist, maybe some aerial shots from above would also help a bit, even so far as to have a human comparison involved for later use. Never the less this is a great sheet here, as it gives us an idea of the materials the ship is made of, and a basic illustration of what it's  design is.

Overall this is a great ref sheet you've got here, and the person who has done this has done a very good job. Great job Hazelmutt .

I would first like to complement the artist in how well the work was made; the color scheme is amazing, and the patches of rust are in very realistic locations on the ship. As stated in the description, this ship is a sentient being and has a consiousness of it's own; this makes the frontal design fit in perfectly as there's a face hidden in it if you look at it just right. All in all this is amazing and I've only got one criticism: 3 Billion years? That is older than any mythological being has said to exist, save gods themselves… and even a few of them. The number is also unrealistic for the metal as if it's rusting, we can assume it's iron and should've rusted over long before then. Other than that one oversight, absolutely brilliant.

One: see doctor who for levels of time machine age. Lunar is a temporal vessel of alien origin so that could give you a hint to age
Two: its not made of iron, to assume so seems a little narrow minded i think.

But all in all thank you for the well thought out review

Science fiction fantasy, so I wouldn't limit an alien spaceship to be made of earth metals.

If you look at it just right, you can see a face, with lights in their eyes. A very nice touch. Now, coming from someone who doesn't know the lore behind this, I can still say with certainty two things: that it is a cute little bot of pink adorableness and badassery and,

How does a ship survive three BILLION years? I find that completely overpowered, especially with it collecting WISDOM over a 3-with-9-zeros-after-it time period. That's older than dragons, centurions, practically any creature in the universe.

How does a ship survive three billion years? Easy, it was built to last. It's a time vessel my friend, if you watch Doctor Who you will know about Tardis ships and whilst this ship isn't bigger on the inside it has the same kind of temporal durability (and a lot of scars to show for it).

The original concept was based off of Jango Fett's original ship before Slave One and the old World War one planes

Now that you mention it, it does look like Jango Fett's ship. Hadn't realised that, because its usually vertical in the movies.

As for world war one planes, most of them had a propeller at the front, and the wings were ate the sides rather than above. That only came later with bombers in world war two, so maybe center the wings  further down.

Oh I may have got my wars crossed, and when I referenced Jango Fett's original ship I meant the one we saw in the game bounty hunter rather than slave one itself.
