FWOG-Shadowmancer the Voodoo Pauper

David Facilier Lawrence, a homo-magi born into impoverished backgrounds in the east end of Gotham. When his powers became apparent he was keen to use them to rise out of the gutter and become a success. However his kind weren't unheard of and his shadow magic paled in comparison to the other masters of magic and his plans fell short of success. Having seemingly failed to rise up through legitimate means he decided to join the ranks of the criminal class to bring him the status and wealth he felt he deserved. However his schemes get the attention of Ronin and Fox when he targets the mistress of magic Zatanna. With dreams of stardom shot down he is approached by Tiresias who convinces him he makes a better killer than a magician and perhaps he would be wise to consider a career change.

[Abilities/Powers]

-Shadow Manipulation, the source of his magic power. He can control the shadows of virtually everything around him and uses it to give him an unnatural edge in combat and can kill people in a near traceless manner

-Streetwise, born in the rough parts of town he can navigate his way around the city with ease and matched with his athletic build he can outrun his opponents should the fight not go his way

-Stealth, capable of hiding in the shadows almost like a chameleon blending into it's environment

[Side Notes]

A glorified thug on first appearances, until he starts choking you without touching you. A tragic villain perhaps but has chosen the easier path out of his poverty and whilst his actions can be understood they cannot be condoned.
